Details: Part of Cedar Crest Cottages, a historic retreat that’s attracted visitors since the 1930s, Osprey Cottage offers a peaceful escape for couples visiting the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. Accommodating up to 2 guests, this home features 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom. Guests will love walking to the beach for a day of swimming in Tahoe’s famous, pristine waters and gathering for lively nights around the community firepit, surrounded by towering cedar trees. Beginner-friendly ski terrain is only a short drive away at Homewood Mountain Resort, with more advanced ski trails available at nearby Palisades Tahoe!
This beautiful single-story home is located on the second level of a 2-story cottage. Inside, radiant-heat floors, wood-paneled walls, and natural wooden accents create a mountain cottage atmosphere mixed with contemporary convenience. The living space invites tranquil evenings relaxing on the loveseat and streaming movies. The fully equipped kitchen and 4-seat dining table are a few steps away, where guests can enjoy romantic home-cooked dinners. For extended stays, there is a stacked washer and dryer in the hall closet. When the evening winds down, retire to the primary bedroom with a plush king bed, private bathroom, and access to a covered patio with 2 chairs.
Osprey Cottage offers a charming Lake Tahoe getaway minutes from the beach and ski access. Exploring the area is easy with on-site parking for 1 vehicle. The nearest beach access is a quick walk. Turn left out of the complex, walk to Fern Street, cross the road, and follow the braided cement path to the beach. Book today and plan an epic mountain vacation.

Interior still lovely but the grounds are unkempt, overgrown, and dangerous for entry into driveway and up steps. Needs a couple days of landscaping work. This is our 4th year back so we see the difference.

What a nice place! The cottage was very nice.....and clean. It was wonderful to have a stocked kitchen with new pots, pans and utensils. We cooked breakfast each morning after a long walk. I would definitely recommend to friends and we will be back.

I absolutely loved this getaway at Cedar Crest Cottages! The layout of all the different cottages were so cute and the landscaping was pleasant. Parking was easy and the location very easy to find. My partner and I loved the fire pit and lounging outside during breakfast on our little porch. Our room was bigger than anticipated, very clean, and had all the amenities. The only thing of note was that we could not find one of the fan remotes which made it a little warm during the evenings. I will 100% be returning and look forward to our next visit!

The unit we stayed in had everything we needed. The only exception was that the ceiling fan remote for the bedroom was missing. There was a wall switch to turn the fan on and off, but no way of operating the fan without the light being on. Which of course, made the fan useless at night. But I called the next morning and they promptly brought us a floor fan. The unit was very clean, and the grounds were beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

Our cabin (# 3 Osprey) had everything you would need. Large living space and comfortable bed. The extra 1/2 bath was unexpected and overall felt more like a condo than a cabin.

Upon request, your on-site staff removed snow and started the fire pit which we enjoyed both nights. The room itself was perfect although we noted the porch lights didn't function and the various soap canisters were empty?

The location was the perfect getaway from the bustling south shore. The property was picturesque and felt like we were entering a woodland fantasy. Paired with the beautifully renovated inside, we could not have asked for a better escape for our honeymoon. The amenities were above and beyond and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Hi. We loved our stay and had a great time. The space was great. Some feedback... use 2-ply toilet paper - you dont save anything in the long run with cheap toilet paper. At night there were no porch lights that were operable and it was hard to see. Lastly, the instructions said nothing about how to work the keypad. In fact, the keypad didnt even look like a keypad and so we had to call to figure out how to enter. Also, the instructions contradicted itself by saying the 'check mark' was to entered in before the code and in other correspondence it said after. Thx!!

We loved our stay on Osprey #3 at Cedar Crest Cottages. It was the perfect size, spotlessly clean, and great kitchen, and very comfortable bed. It's a bit noisy since close to the highway but the traffics dies down at night. We will be back.

The area of North Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The cottage itself was very clean and so nicely prepared for our arrival. Our power went out one day, but the team at Cedar Crest was quick to give us lanterns and flashlights as the sun went down (this is normal for the area, not in any way NR's fault). We had the best stay for our little honeymoon and plan on making a trip back in the future!

Everything was amazing. The only bad thing was the bed was really uncomfortable as me and my partner like to sleep in the middle but it was two twin beds pushed together so it was like sleeping on a rail. But thank you for the amazing experience otherwise!
