Complimentary shuttle service also provides effortless transport to historic Main Street and the Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort bases. Please be advised that the Silver Star lift is operated by Park City Resort and access is not guaranteed. Lift operations are dependent on weather and resort staffing. Guests will need to shuttle to Park City Resort for ski access. The site of Silver Star at Park City has a rich and interesting past. Originally constructed more than a century ago as a silver mine, the site later became one of the world’s most unique “ski lifts." Forty years ago, skiers rode a three-mile underground section of rail in an old mining car to a mine elevator, which eventually took them to the sunny skies and powder-covered slopes above. Keeping in harmony with its past and using the old mining buildings as inspiration, Silver Star at Park City has captured the essence of this colorful history in its unique architecture and ambiance. For ski-in/ski-out access in the winter, use the Silver Star Lift. Start at the elevator and take it to the 4th floor/café level for ski access. Outside, guests will see a café and ski shop, as well as the Silver Star Lift and ticket office. To get home from the top of the Silver Star Lift, take the Silver Star Run (Blue) to the base of the lift and head back to the elevator to return home. To access the ski lockers, walk along the 1000-building just past the public restrooms.
