The hideaway is quaint, beachy decor, clean and easy to rent. Not to mention the quick access to the Southside of Tybee without the hassle of parking. It is less crowded than near the pier due to hotels in the area! A perfect getaway/ hideaway !

Location, location, location! Perfectly situated at the tip of the island, steps from the beach, with a well-maintained beach access area. The beach was quiet and peaceful the entire weekend.
House is as described and shown in pictures. Small but cozy and the outside porch area more than makes up for the small inside space. Old but clean- the quirks of the unique space give it character.
If I have anything negative to say, it's the fact that you can hear anything and everything that happens on the floor above. The upstairs neighbors were not loud at all but even just walking around was louder than expected.

Our stay was very welcoming. Cute and had a home feel to it. We enjoyed the quiet and how close it was to the beach. Clean and accommodating for three adults. My partner, our 3yo, and I were so very happy with our stay at this charming, classic Tybee apartment. The location is absolutely perfect--immediate access to the best part of Tybee on the the south end, easy walk to all the shops and restaurants near the pier. The apartment was spotless and very well stocked with cleaning supplies and fresh linens. We have been so anxious about traveling during the recent covid spikes, but the cleanliness of the apartment and the covid protocols outlined really helped put us at ease. There were a few palmetto bugs here and there, but having lived in Savannah years ago, you just have to realize they come with the terrain. They are in every house down there, no matter what. The apartment was well set up for our 3yo, as well. We were able to put her to sleep in the bedroom and shut the door so that we were able to stay up and relax and not wake her. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. We were very impressed with how well prepared it was and the location is absolutely perfect. The instructions for entry were very clear and though we had absolutely no problems at all during our stay, I felt very comfortable that I had several numbers to call should we have needed anything. If I could give Natural Retreats a score over 10 I would. We had a flooding issue during a tropical storm that came over our beach rental and NT acted quickly to get us somewhere safe and dry. When it was deemed we could not return to the original location, they upgraded us to another location and paid for our dinner. They took a lot of stress and anxiety away for us and for that we are grateful that our vacation was saved. Thank you so much! We will always use NT and would recommend them to anyone!!!

The shower could have been upgraded a little bit. It was hard to use. Locating the washer and dryer was a little tricky, outside of that, the instructions on how to park and where to go was very detailed and very nice. The place was nice, we enjoyed our stay. We arrived after 11:00 pm and was unsure of our exact location so I messaged my host with “Help! I think we’re lost!”. She called me right away and kindly led me over the phone to our destination. Then we needed one more night due to terrible storms and possible tornadoes close to home and we were able to get that added at a discount! We first stayed at 19th Street Beachside Hideaway almost ten years ago and have returned multiple times. We love the coziness of the unit and the location...just a few steps to South Beach and minutes from the Strand. The decor is cute without being kitsch, and the huge covered porch behin lattice provides a great spot to read, have a meal, or just enjoy the ocean breeze. You can't beat this unit for its location, convenience, ambiance, and price.

We visited Tybee at the end of July, the Beachside Hideaway was so perfect for my husband and I to relax at the beach. Being so close to the beach to watch sunrises was the perfect beginning to our days. The hideaway was decorated so cute, it was clean and in the perfect location and walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The added bonus were the complimentary excursions offered. We really enjoyed the kayaking with the added bonus of dolphins visiting us while out in the ocean. We can easily say, this was the best vacation for us. Now I want to retire here. I visited this home in July for a week and it was our second time staying at this condo. Wonderful location and condo but the people who were staying above us weren’t very respectful of us staying below them, all hours of the day/night you could hear stomping and running through the house. I was told it was family friends and I did call and make a complaint but it didn’t help much. Overall I would stay here again just because the condo had everything we needed and it was a short walk to the beach! We did have a good time but just didn’t get much rest.

This was mine and my husbands first trip to Tybee/Savannah. We arrived around 10:30 at night and were unable to get the key pad to work so we contacted Kelly and she was so helpful and got us in with no problem! The apartment is located right next to the beach in the basement of a large beach house. We had sole access to the deck outside which we enjoyed sitting on in the mornings. The only mild annoyance was that since it’s in the basement and the people staying in the house above had small children they could be heard running around above us along with furniture being moved. It wasn’t enough for me to say I wouldn’t stay there again but might be for someone else. Loved that it was within walking distance of almost everything! Overall it was a very enjoyable stay!

This was our first time traveling to Tybee. Our Beachside Hideaway made it such a fabulous experience! It was perfect for our group of 3 adults (2 in the bed, one on the futon). The air was really cool the whole time, and we loved enjoying our evenings on the porch while listening to the waves. The name couldn't describe it any better - it is a cute, cool little hideaway and only a short walk from the beach!! We were able to enjoy the beach for a few hours, and come back to fix lunch and never had to worry about driving/parking. It is on the end of the island, so traffic was light. We were also close enough to some shops and eateries, that we were able to walk to them. Highly recommended!! I know we will be back some day!

We visited in June during the busy season. The price was very reasonable and the location was perfect. No beach view, but only steps away from the boardwalk. I like how it was at the very south end with very little traffic of people. But still walking distance from the main pier. But be careful if you are over 6ft tall, the door frames are pretty low.

The ceilings are not very high, so a person over 5'10" may have an issue, since my daughter and I are height challenged (5'1")we did not mind it. We thought the property was a good value for what we paid. We liked being in the residential area and being close enough to walk to downtown to restaurants and shopping. The building is old and therefore you could hear the neighbors above you.

I went over Mother's Day weekend. The apartment is cozy and comfortable. The only couple of complaints I have is that the mattress needs updating and when it rains alot the entrance to the apartment (not the apartment door but the decking leading to the apartment) floods. This was our 5th stay on 19th St., it's a great location, close to beach and just a walk away from town. We actually got to meet the owner for the first time, very nice gentleman. My husband and I got married on Tybee Island just yards away from Beachside Hideaway, so this place is very special to us. We will definitely will be returning, most likely again very soon.
