Rated 3 out of 5 by from Off the grid! We enjoyed our stay at Bear Hug, but did not realize we would be completely off the grid. No landline, no cell service, and no internet availability at the cabin. Land line available at the office, but some distance from our cabin. We were there for a wedding and were unable to communicate with others in the group without leaving the cabin. Beautiful location! Our cabin needed a good deep cleaning. I wouldn't call it bad, but dusty in places you don't get in a daily cleaning regimen. Bathroom sink has two hairline cracks and should be replaced. I would suggest a cabinet and counter top instead of the pedestal to provide a little space for toiletries.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Overall Stay I visited the Bear Hug cabin in the beginning of October. The space is perfect for two people and we enjoyed being in the woods. Not much of a mountain view. Overall our stay was nice, but some of the furniture pieces/sheets need to be updated. The kitchen and bathroom was clean however there were areas that looked like they haven't been dusted in a while. I understand the cabin is out in the woods, but the upkeep of the inside needs a deep clean on frames, lamps and decorations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bear Hug #18 We just got home from a wonderful week in Beat Hug #18. It was a really good experience. The cabin was immaculate! The staff was great. Our cabin was in the perfect location. The only drawback was that the pool was only reachable by a very steep part of the road. Being folks not used to driving that type of terrain, it was not a drive we chose to make after the first time. But overall the experience was amazing and we had the best time. We will definitely be back!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great view We visited for our wedding anniversary. The view from the loft was great. A few issues we had were door to lower deck was very difficult to open, porch light bulb was out and the way we were instructed to drive up the mountain (to get to the cabin) meant that we had to pass the driveway and back up to park. Everything else was good. The drive to area attractions was quick and easy. Overall, we had a cozy getaway, very peaceful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice house. Not exactly clean There was hair in the bathtub drain. There was a dead (crunchy dead) spider in the kitchen floor. There was a child’s sock in the floor beside the dryer. Didn’t appear as though anyone had done a look through before our arrival. These things should have never been there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Weekend Getaway!!! We spent a wonderful weekend at Brother's Cove, Bear Hug 18. The view was magnificent, and the seclusion was a welcome experience. The colors of the mountains was something to behold, and it was cold enough that we enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub very much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful views to wake up too! Enjoyed our stay and the cabin was exactly like it was advertised. Kitchen had everything needed and bathrooms were perfect with plenty of soft towels. Bed and pillows were super comfy! Hot tub was very nice and had plenty of seating on the deck.
