Enjoy the quiet seclusion of the mountains in Bear Necessities. This one-bedroom, two-bath log cabin is nestled in Brother’s Cove and comfortably sleeps five. Recharge after an eventful day in the bedroom’s king-sized bed, the game room’s sleeper-sofa.
When you book your stay at this cabin, you receive free admission to popular Smoky Mountain attractions with Xplorie. This program entitles our guests to one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like WonderWorks, Rowdy Bear Coaster, and more.
The bedroom contains a jetted-tub and a private bath, with the game room featuring a pool table, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Gather in the living room to watch a movie on the flat-screen television, complete with DVD player.
The fully equipped kitchen includes both large and small appliances, to meal prep, and can be served at the spacious dining table, seating six. After dinner, head to the wrap-around porch with a glass of wine to admire the natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains from the hot tub or the picnic table.
Guests have access to the resort’s swimming pool in the warmer months, and a washer and dryer, and propane grill is included for your convenience.

Bear Necessities cabin #71 was absolutely amazing! The pictures were spot on, but the real thing was even better. The cabin was a great size for our family of four, which includes two teenagers. It came stocked with more then expected, they went above and beyond. The king size bed was super comfy and the hot tub very relaxing. The first morning a mama bear and her two cubs even came up to the window and looked in! Would stay here again and again!

The gated entrance was extremely appreciated, staff was very helpful. We had access to all of the information we would need prior to arrival. I really enjoyed the cabin. It was spacious, relaxing, secluded but not desolate. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool table when we were just hanging out and also the TVs up stairs and downstairs. My stay was enjoyable and relaxing and I would stay again and recommend natural retreats to friends and family. My stay was mostly positive but there are a few things I feel I should mention that I think would make things better. Mostly little things like the cabin had a lot of nooks and crannies that could be dusted, like the fans and corners. Not so much the outside but inside around the birdhouses and where things are not moved very often. Also I didn’t particularly like having to put my garbage in my car to bring it to the dumpster and handle it again to throw it in the smelly dumpster. It rained a few days while I was there and I had to get out of my car in the rain walk to the dumpster and deposit my garbage, that wasn’t pleasant. This cabin is phenomenal for a couple just looking to get away. When I say AWAY, I mean AWAY! It’s a decent drive into town to get anything you may have forgotten but that is the ONLY drawback. We just stayed at Knotty 'n Nice #71 Cabin in Brother's Cove during Thanksgiving weekend. We really liked Brother's Cove area a lot. The cabin was awesome and very clean. Any problems we had were taken care of immediately. Everything was awesome, just wish the road was not as curvy going over to Wears Valley Road......😊

This was our second stay at the same cabin. It is the perfect size for two. I love the privacy and the scenery. The cabin is very comfortable and clean. One recommendation would be if you plan on cooking your own meals bring your own cookware, utensils, potholders, etc. The cabin has plenty of dishes but is lacking in being a well stocked kitchen. We actually had to use a hand towel since no potholders were supplied. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, you will not be disappointed.

The cabin and the area was everything we hoped it would be. The cabin was beautiful. We really liked the privacy we felt we had. We had a question come up and got a quick response by phone. We will definitely book there again if we come back to that area.

My wife made the comment and i agree with how clean it always is, so please let the housekeeping staff know that they do an amazing job.

We enjoyed our stay at the Knotty ‘N Nice cabin for my birthday. The checkin/check out procedure was easy and simple. The cabin was lovely! From the decor to the views, we fell in love instantly. The cabin is nestled in the mountains which is about a fifteen minute drive to the main road. The cabin was so peaceful and serene which was needed from the city life. This will be our new getaway cabin when needed.

The cabin, although just off the road, provided us with so much privacy. The bed was on the firm side, but, I did sleep well. It provided us with the getaway we were looking for.
On the down side. There were a few kitchen items that were pretty old/used looking or just weren't provided (vegetable peeler) that we went and bought. But if you wanted to bake cookies, there was one cookie cutter. While most of the cabin was clean, there were areas that were neglected: the bedside table area. Lots of dust and even cobwebs. Would have expected that to be dusted. No kleenex provided. No soap in the downstairs bathroom, and the description of the cabin states it provides laundry detergent. It does not and we were told at the front desk they don't provide it due to allergies. Might want to remove that from the things provided
list.
On the day we were to leave, a high pitched alarm went off and we could not figure out where it was coming from. Upon inspection of the cabin, we found no hot spots...

Came for a wedding. The cabin was really nice but had a lot of con webs in the loft above the bedroom and I couldn’t stop staring at them. Also had no hair dryer which was a major inconvenience and no one could get me one because it was “privately owned”.

This place has a very sentimental meaning to my wife and I as we started our relationship there 8 years ago. Many of the things were as we remember them. Yet time had taken its toll on some of the amenities. The cabin is a special place in an incredible setting, but does need a little bit of TLC to keep it in A plus shape. Certainly won't keep us from coming back, enjoy your stay as we did.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The cabin was just secluded enough that we felt alone in our own paradise most of the time. Lovely to stay away from the crowds but only a few minutes drive from dining and entertainment.

We visited this past weekend for our 4 year anniversary and it was nothing short of amazing. The mountains were such a quiet and relaxing getaway to start and end a perfect weekend. We were far enough to feel secluded and to enjoy peace and quiet by ourselves, as well as close enough to amenities and attractions to still feel as if we were on vacation. We even got to go up to the pool and look at the amazing view. I would recommend this place every single time and we hope to be back in August if everything falls into place!

Knotty 'n Nice is one of our favorite cabins at Brother's Cove. It's secluded with a great view and wonderful hot tub on the deck. Everything was perfect on our arrival and the cabin was very clean. It was comfy and cozy and a great place to relax from our busy days in Pigeon Forge. Highly recommend staying at any of the cabins at Brother's Cove, but especially this one.

My husband and I visites in mid-May. We came down for a friend's wedding and we're delighted to find the cabin was exactly like the pictures on the website and yet it was even better than we had imagined. We were a little skeptical of how spacious it would be given that so many hotels, resorts, etc. take photos to make their areas seem bigger. With this cabin, the pictures don't even do it justice. It was phenomenal.
With a full set of cookware, flatware, and silverware provided, we hit the grocery store to stock up and enjoyed every second of our stay even more since we didn't have to constantly travel into town for meals.
The service was superb with every employee knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Natural Retreats thought of everything and we can't wait to go back!

I visited this cabin in early October. Cozy, comfortable and rustic. I booked it because of the game room and hot tub---both added to the enjoyment. Barely even touched the satellite TV or wireless. Very private. I could hear neighbors on occasion but could not see other cabins.

We have stayed at Brothers Cove several times and have never been disappointed. All of the cabins are nice and beautifully decorated. This time we stayed at Knotty & Nice. It was very nice and a little more secluded than most of the cabins.

Visited Brother's Cove for 5 nights the last week of September. Loved the house, hot tub on deck, large beautiful rooms, fully equipped kitchen etc. Beautiful resort. Especially like the placement of all the homes that allowed for complete privacy while in the hot tub on deck. Very friendly, courteous and accomodating staff. Only complaint was the dead bugs and mouse poop in various window sills and corner floors of the house. I realize that you will find dead bugs in the forest, but these look like they have been there for some time.
