The Lost Texan is a three-bed, three bath log cabin that offers incredible views and luxurious mountain living. With both indoor and outdoor space, you can choose whether to sit and chat around the indoor wood-burning fireplace or rock on the deck with the glow of the outdoor wood-burning fireplace. The large living room and attached dining room, with seating for eight, compliment the fully-equipped, kitchen.

Spend hours in the game room with a shuffleboard table, Foosball table, and card table. It also offers satellite television, as well as Wii and Golden Tee game consoles.

There is a hot tub and gas grill on the porch along with several rocking chairs and outdoor wood-burning fireplace on the wrap-around deck. With an outdoor space like that you won't ever want to leave the mountains!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice ,cabin needs some refreshing We stayed over christmas, Really nice location , great office staff. For 3 couples it was a perfect layout. The hottub was big and clean. The floors in the master are really soft (they should not be they are hardwoors) and none of the doors will shut. The furniture was warn but not dirty and was comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped. Great shuffle board table. We would probably stay at this cabin again as long as the got rid of the in-house pet. We kept loosing food on the kitchen counter. The last night i setup a motion sensor to see what was eating the food. Ended up being a decent size rat. (see video)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome View We visited this cabin for 3 nights and loved everything about it but the neighbor. The view was awesome and cabin slept our family of 5 comfortably. The cabin says it sleeps 10 comfortably, but that is pushing it.....especially with a family with older children. I would only put 6 or 7 in this cabin comfortably unless children are young. We stayed in the cabin in the mountains to enjoy peace and quiet and the serene environment and the neighbor's television was on and loud most of our stay which was very annoying! The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and kitchen table seated 8 comfortably. It would have been nice to have a few more rockers on the back porch.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Views This Cabin had great views and Awesome staff ! There are a few issues we had with the cabin. 1 was as going into the Downstairs bedroom the floor is Very soft feels like its going to give away. 2nd the main reason we picked this cabin was the shuffleboard table it didnt have any powder even on the sides of table. We called the staff and the brought powder with in 2 hrs. Once we put it on table the pucks would not slide the table is Very bad need of repair. Bottom line the reason we rented this cablin was for the shuffleboard table. Its very Obvious someone knew the shuffleboard table was shot since the powder had been all vacumed up.. We wish someone would had made us aware of this Very Disappointed !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Place to Stay We stayed in the Lost Texan Feb 9-12, 2018. What a wonderful place to stay. We had three couples stay and this house is a perfect size. We each had our own rooms with incredibly comfortable king size beds. Two of the rooms had gas fireplaces. The cabin is well stocked and very clean and comfortable. We did have an issue with ladybugs, but it is in the mountains, so it was no big deal. We called the office for firewood and they brought it right up to us. If you want a place to just get away and relax, you will not be disappointed staying here.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs work We arrived 10/19 for my sons wedding and stayed three nights. We didn’t know we had to check in the office only to review the rules we already read on the email. The property needs better better signs and directions not to mention the road conditions. The cabin was okay but needed maintenance. The closet door was off it hinges and just leaning against the wall. The refrigerator leaked water inside and got food wet. The dishes had food stuck all over them, the glasses were greasy, basically we had to hand wash everything before we used them. We had bugs / spiders in the bed room. One ceiling fan didn’t work and the others only had one speed. Don’t try closing doors, they are all stuck. Overall the price we paid was way too high for what it is, but the wedding went perfect and was beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect We just finished our stay and the cabin was wonderful - fully stocked in the kitchen, large, and with the most gorgeous view. The game room exceeded expectations and the cabin was spotless. You do have to drive up a steep road, but that's expected with a great view. The pool was lovely and the kids enjoyed the private hot tub. My only complaint is that the floors really creak and need to be replaced soon. I would definitely stay there again!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Having stayed in Brothers Cove twice before, and in the Lost Texan once before, I was disappointed in the accommodations this time around. The furniture is worn, the floorboards are warped, the pillows on the beds are flat and very uncomfortable, the lighting is extremely dim (so dim in the bathrooms that it was difficult to apply makeup). The wi-fi stopped working on our 2nd day and never came back. The water ran completely out (NO running water) our last night and we were told the reserve well had run dry and it should be back on in the morning. It would have been nice to know in advance that such a thing might happen so we could have showered, brushed teeth, etc. earlier while we still had water. I will say the cabin was clean & spacious, the view beautiful, and the community is still a unique place...but given the wear and tear this particular cabin has experienced in the 2 years since we last stayed, we probably won't be back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cabin. We celebrated our 50th anniversary here with 2 of our 3 children n their spouses. Plenty of room for all. King beds were comfortable and we each had a private bath. The shuffle board gaame was a particular favorite. We've stayed in several cabins over the years and was by far the best equipped and layed out.
