Inlet Seaclusion

Beautifully furnished secluded cottage encompasses the beauty of Tybee

Welcome to Inlet Seaclusion!

As you drive to the end of Highway 80 here on the island (the other end is in San Diego!) and as you leave the asphalt behind, you enter into the lovely tranquility that is Inlet Seaclusion. Perfectly placed on a double lot with over forty old growth trees, including a gorgeous live oak and two cedar trees, is Inlet Seaclusion’s beautiful raised cottage. Walk up the wide staircase and enter into a wonderful living room with a high vaulted ceiling covered in wood ship latte. You will behold a beautiful open floor plan where large pieces of impressive, original art adorns the walls. A flat-screened TV sits over the fireplace with an upgraded package including the ability to record your programs! Oriental rugs and mahogany furniture finish the elegant appeal of this lovely cottage!

The incredibly equipped kitchen is off to the right of this space and to the left are two sets of French doors where you walk into a huge screened in porch with a picnic table, a sideboard, and a seating place featuring a swing! A local master craftsman on Tybee Island carefully made all the wooden Adirondack chairs and the swing! Then walk out onto the open deck and catch a breeze from the Back River. But wait! Go up to the widow’s walk and relax there with a beverage and watch the sunset over the Back River.

Want to go to the beach? Your feet do not have to touch asphalt! You walk out onto the sand into a beautiful entrance to the Back River, a favorite spot for kayakers, and then if you want an awesome experience, walk on the beach only moments to the south and see the confluence between the river and the ocean. At low tide watch the dolphins!

This cottage has three bedrooms upstairs and one with a separate entrance downstairs. Upstairs, as you leave the open space of the living room/dining room, you come to a bathroom on the right connected to a red/white/and blue bedroom with twin beds. On the left is the queen size bedroom with a “haint” painted ceiling! Travel to the end of the house and behold the master bedroom with vaulted ceilings, a king size bed, TV, and an amazing bathroom that has a Jacuzzi tub and a separate shower with a sauna and five shower heads! And that’s not all! Downstairs is a fourth bedroom that has three twin beds, a TV, a half bath and access to the outside shower in the semi-private garage area.

The location of Inlet Seaclusion is remarkably unique. You will have access to the beach and shopping, the pier, AJ’s, the bars, the ocean -- all within walking distance. Yet Inlet Seaclusion is off the beaten path and outside the usual streets and roads of Tybee Island.
Inlet Seaclusion is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Beach Home We visited over Memorial Day weekend. House felt like home. The house's open floor plan made it the perfect place to spend time with our children and grandchildren. The grandkids loved the widow's walk, while the adults loved visiting and enjoying morning coffee in the screened in porch. Loved being able to walk from beach to such a comfortable home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful home! We visited this home in July. Everything about the house was wonderful. We were steps from the river beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. One day, we walked to the pier and visited the Marine Science Museum. We had an excellent stay and would recommend the house to all families looking for a relaxing home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful home! This is a beautiful home in a unique area of Tybee Island. Is was nice to be able to walk less than a block to several restaurants and ride our bikes to AJ's. I was disappointed in the proximity to the ocean, mostly because I was unfamiliar with the layout of the island and had different expectations. The "Back River" is beautiful, and literally steps from the front door, but it is not suitable for swimming. Fishermen were constantly pulling out sharks and there is a sewage (rain) drain that emits right into the water. We enjoyed walking out in the evenings and letting the kids run around before bedtime. During the morning hours, we drove to other areas of the island to enjoy ocean waves. It is possible to walk to the ocean, but not realistic with small children (unless, maybe, if we had a wagon). The house itself is great! Beautifully decorated, very clean, great layout, and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend this house as long as you understand you're staying more on the river than at the ocean.
