Located in the private gated community of Harbor Island, Buried Treasure has three bedrooms, along with two full and two half baths; making it ideal for your family’s low country getaway. Harbor Island is conveniently located just 3 miles from scenic Hunting Island State Park and fifteen miles from historic Beaufort.
Buried Treasure is a three-level home situated alongside one of the many tidal creeks that surround Harbor Island. The second level boasts a living room area with a comfortable couch, flat-screen television and access to the second level screened-in deck space, with ping-pong table. Also on the second level are two bedrooms--one with a king-sized bed and en-suite bathroom. The other bedroom features a bunk bed and twin bed with trundle; perfect for the children in your group. Both bedrooms have their own flat-screen televisions.
The recently updated and fully stocked kitchen is located on the third floor, and features all modern stainless-steel appliances, making it the perfect space for traveling chefs. The dining table offers seating for six, along with additional seating available at four bar stools at the granite countertop. The open concept kitchen, dining, and living room area opens onto a furnished screened-in deck area, replete with outdoor dining furniture with seating for six, making it ideal for dining al fresco while taking in the spectacular view. There is also a large sectional patio sofa and two chairs to lounge in. A second open deck can be found off the dining room. The primary suite is located on this level and features a comfortable king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, and en suite bathroom.
The rental of Buried Treasure includes a ping pong table, and access to all Harbor Island Community amenities, which consists of a pool, racquet club, fitness area, playground, volleyball court, and chipping green. Harbor Island is a secured island that does require all guests to have a car pass to access the island. Guest must provide car pass total before their arrival. Parking is available for up to 4 vehicles max.
As our gift to you for booking with us, we offer free admission to select Sea Islands and Beaufort attractions. Called the Xplorie Program, our guests will receive one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like the Kazoo Factory and a free kayak rental. It’s our way of saying, “Thanks!”

I cannot say enough about this house! It was large enough to comfortably host our children and my parents. The location is so beautiful you don’t even need to leave! The view is stunning, the air is so fresh and the most beautiful parks are just a short drive to the road. The beds were incredibly comfortable and they had two super soft throw blankets for lounging on the sofa. TVs were so easy to run. We caught king crabs off back deck area. It was literally a perfect vacation!

Natural Retreats was the best rental management company I've ever engaged. They were very professional, attentive, helpful and friendly; calling ahead of the trip to touch base and see if we had any questions, letting us know when there would be water maintenance in the area and immediately replying to messages and calls both leading up to the trip and during. The property was clean, well-maintained, fully equipped and had an excellent layout. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

This home was large enough for two families and had many great features. We enjoyed using the ping-pong table and all of the beach supplies in the garage. The golf cart came in handy getting around the community.
There aren't many restaurants nearby so we would suggest stocking up on groceries and making meals at home. The little store near the pool was very helpful. They have some basic grocery supplies and a few lunch/snack options. The beach was nice to walk on in the evening at sunset. The pool was large and clean and fun for the kids. We enjoyed playing pickle ball. We rented rackets and balls for only five dollars for the whole family. Our favorite feature was probably the free state park pass to Hunting Island. The beach at the park was awesome and we went every day. It definitely was a laid-back vacation that the whole family enjoyed. Thanks

Burried Treasurer is a wonderful home with excellent views. We enjoyed our meals on the screen in porch every day and enjoyed the wildlife. Harbor Island is a wonderful, private area and the beach could not be more perfect for kids and families.

This lovely home is well represented by the pictures. It was perfect for a week vacation with our grandson, his wife and our two great granddaughters. My husband and I stayed on the top floor, and the kids and their parents had the second level all to themselves.
The upper deck is perfect for dining. We ate out there every night. Really beautiful for sunsets. It also has large comfy couches for reading and napping. The lower deck has a ping pong table that was enjoyed by all.
The house was very clean and well maintained. There is a pass to go to Hunting Island park and beach there which is a wonderful perk. The beach on Harbor Island is easily walkable, but the house also has a golf cart that sits four. The pool is also right down the road.
The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. I always travel with kitchen necessities, but honestly, I didn't need to here. They even had baking pans in addition to sheet pans and glass pyrex for meals like enchiladas.
Honestly, the only item that I wish they would add is beach towels. It's so convenient to rent a place that also has a basket of beach towels. In the past when we have, they just request that the beach towels are left clean for the next guest.
I would most definitely rent this house again.

Our family had a wonderful and relaxing stay! The views are beautiful and we enjoyed watching the tides (especially the moon tide) and looking for the alligator everyday.
The house is very kid-friendly, including a baby gate on the top level, which we appreciated especially with a crawling infant. The golf cart was so convenient to have shuttling our family of six (four children under 7) to and from the beach and pool.

This was our first visit to Harbor Island and we were very pleased. The house was clean and looked like the pictures. We choose this house because of the marsh and a short golf cart ride to the beach. My boys had a blast catching fish (flounder, black bass, croaker, sting ray, and a few crabs!) behind the house. We will definitely be back and using Natural Retreats.

We stayed at Buried Treasure on Harbor Island and birds were nesting in the walls. It was VERY loud and we had a very hard time getting any sleep. We feel like when someone pays that much money to stay in a house then you should get a good night’s sleep and be able to enjoy yourself without birds scratching in the walls all day and night. I called Natural Retreats and they immediately sent out a technician, which was great, but he said there wasn’t anything he could do without harming the birds. We understood that, but feel that since the situation couldn’t be rectified that we should at least be given a discount or something. My husband called and asked about this and was told someone would call him back about it, but no one ever called him back. The house is a great house, and we would love to stay there again, but the birds and lack of resolving the situation in some way was very disappointing.

To sum it all up - The Sea Islands' Team ROCKS! It was my husband's/I 1st year anniversary and they made it so special. I spoke to them a couple of days prior to us arriving and mentioned to them that I would like to have rose pedals on the floor (joking but not joking but joking) and once we reached the stairs, there were flowers each step. In addition, they also had flowers on the bed, some chocolates, a card, and a treat in the refrigerator.

Our stay was great. Check in and check out was simple. House was perfect for our needs. The only issue for us would have been a request for more blankets for the beds (not sure if that is set by natural retreats or the home owner). Rather than call to ask I washed and used the outdoor blankets that I keep in our vehicles.

Great week on the beach!
Fantastic location. Natural Retreats' staff were very responsive to a few small issues that we had. Screened in porches provide amazing views of the sunset. Fast internet with multiple streaming TV services were great for movies!

The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed riding around the island on the golf cart. It’s just a quick drive to beach access.
