Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous room and resort We stayed here for a few nights for our Mammoth trip. It was hard to tell on the map, but this is JUST across the street from the Village, so we were pleasantly surprised to be so close. Also, the listing inappropriate indicated one bathroom, however, we were pleasantly surprised that there were 2 full size bathrooms, one on the master and one with a connecting door to the 2nd bathroom. This was a bonus! In addition, there are 2 nice size decks, one off of each bedroom, with gorgeous mountain views, and overlooking the pool area. We had stayed at the Village Inn the first 2 nights in Mammoth, but we much preferred this resort. The overall resort is nicer, the rooms are more updated, and the beds more comfortable. The kitchen was nice, a bit small, but we weren't doing any cooking. It is steps away from the Gondola, which was also a nice feature. The only downfall was that the closets are small in both bedrooms, and of course ski/snow clothes is big and bulky (maybe not such an issue for summer travel?). I wonder if the owner could unlock the locked closet to provide additional space. Overall, we were very happy with this unit and would definitely recommend it and would return here.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great location but small with almost no storage We visited this unit in December right before a big snowstorm. The location is fantastic and the hotel itself is nice. There is a lot of nice things to say about the unit: • It gets great light • It is easy to find things • Parking is easy • Resturaunt is the best in the village (we ate there every night and 4 times the last trip) • Was very affordable. • Staff is always very helpful There are some things that have to be taken into account before booking - none of these should be deal breakers they are just considerations: • The unit is very small so be very mindful of bringing a lot of stuff • Almost all the closets are locked so you have to work with 1.5 closets which is impossible for winter sports. • It says it can sleep 6 which is true but there is no way to keep 6 peoples things. We struggled with 2 adults and 2 small kids worth of stuff. • This means the living room will have to become your new winter sports storage area which dramatically reduces the amount of space you have to use. We ended up having to use the back of our truck for storage. • There is no phone to call the front desk or bellman (understandable as its a owner unit) • You will need to walk to the bellman directly. Natural Retreats needs to make this part clear to guests and not all buildings want to help owner units so you almost have to pretend to be a hotel guest to get help. • Ski locker use is unclear and is not clarified in the instructions so you will again have to ask the front desk or so some detective work to figure it out. • The beds are very low end so it might not be the best night sleep you've had. The sheets were not the right size so kept snapping off the mattress and we repeatedly woke up on directly on the mattress. • The living room has a door to the porch that will not lock no matter how hard you try. This repeatedly opened during a wind, rain and snowstorm dropping the room temperature to 50. We ended up having to tie a chair the handle to try and pul it closed. I imagine this will be fixed • The unit faces the pool which is very beautiful at night if empty, but very very loud at night if people are there. We were woken up each night and heard the word for word conversations of the people swimming as if we were there with them.
