Lake Wicwas - Waterfront - 331 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spacious Home on a Quiet Lake The house was spacious and pretty well laid out. There was a large deck facing the lake and also a screened porch. The great room had a nice view of the lake. The kitchen was well stocked. My biggest issue with the house was the fact that the master bedroom (queen BR) is open to the great room below, which is open to the rest of the first floor. There was a large triangular opening in the wall (about 4 feet wide at the base) so you could see through this and then through the great room window out to the lake. However, there was no glass or other noise barrier and I was kept awake by the TV and voices downstairs after I went to bed (echoed of the cathedral ceiling) and was woken up by early risers. Additionally, every noise from the bedroom could be heard downstairs. The third floor bedroom (two twins) is referred to as a loft but it is self contained with a door, large windows to the outside, etc. It isn't open to the downstairs. I think that there should be a queen sized bed up there for those who prefer the quiet/privacy. It is a large room so an extra twin could be up there as well in case separate beds are needed. The lake is very clean and quiet. There were a few motorboats on the lake pulling skiers and tubers, but they weren't annoying. It seems like a nice lake to ski on since it is not busy and it is pretty calm. There were mostly kayaks and a sunfish sailboat. No jet skis. They aren't allowed. There is a public boat ramp on the lake so day use is greater on the weekend. There are some nice hiking trails in the woods behind the house, one leads to a nice ledge with a great view of the lake.
