Where Will You Be For The Total Eclipse?

Friday March 20th 2015 will see a spectacular partial eclipse of the sun in northern Europe (and a total eclipse if you're in northern Norway or the Faroe Islands). The further north you are in the UK, the more the sun will be covered by the moon, which makes our retreats in Scotland ideal places to witness this once-in-a-lifetime event.

John O'Groats is the perfect spot for an eclipse weekend - around 95% of the sun will be obscured. Or use our luxury lodges and Inn as a base to get even closer to totality by taking the short ferry trip to the Orkneys, where up to 98% of the sun will be obscured.

Or watch the eclipse atop Cairngorm Mountain - dramatic at the best of times let alone during a near-total eclipse. The eclipse will start around 9:30am and last for about 90 minutes, and will be more spectacular because the moon will be closer to the earth than it has been for 18 years.
