Tour De Yorkshire 2016

Following the incredible inaugural success of the 2015 'Tour De Yorkshire', the Dales will once again be host to hundreds of thousands of cycle fans this April, and at Natural Retreats we can't wait to start celebrating!

Traversing three, seriously challenging routes, competitors will have a whistle-stop tour of the breath-taking beauty of the Yorkshire countryside, and we're expecting the crowds to be even more enthusiastic than last year...

THE ROUTE WE'RE WATCHING
Middlesbrough – Scarborough (STAGE 3)

Passing through nearby Northallerton, this gruelling 198km journey takes contestants all the way to the East coast through valley and dale. Winding through tiny hilltop villages, soaring down picturesque hills and taking place on the last day of the event, this stage will be the one to watch. Plus, the route snakes its way past Natural Retreats' neighbouring villages and we can't wait to show off our national pride by supporting the Great British teams.

For guests at Natural Retreats this bank holiday weekend who haven’t picked their spot on the route yet (be quick as there's just over 2 weeks to go!) we thoroughly recommend planning ahead before taking the scenic 35-minute drive to nearby Northallerton. This quaint county town will play host to a generous section of Stage 3 on Sunday 1st May, and after all the excitement you'll be able to celebrate in style back at your spacious Yorkshire Dales hideaway.

Our Top Tips for Spectators

2. Set off early – expect your journey to take longer than usual, so give yourself plenty of time to bag the best spot.
3. Check your race – visit the website for live travel and transport updates.
