Red, White & Bluegrass With Spec Hosti & Friends
June 2, 8 p.m. at Tybee Post Theater
It’s going to be a night of high energy Bluegrass covers along with original songs written by members of the band. You’re in for a red, white and bluegrass treat of their “twangy-first century” music!
Trybee Island Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon 2017
June 4, 2017 7:00 am – 10:00 am
You couldn’t find a more exciting summer adventure if you Trybee’d!. Come join us for a dip, a bike ride and a hot-footed event. Participate in a 750m ocean swim, followed by a 20K bike leg to Fort Pulaski State Park, and then finish with a 5K neighborhood run through Tybee’s south end! The Duathlon will be the same 5K neighborhood run, followed by a 20K bike to Fort Pulaski State Park, and finishing with a 5K neighborhood run through Tybee’s south end!

Charleston's Dangermuffin will release its sixth album, so be here to celebrate when the band makes a cool switch to a more folk-rock and acoustic approach, while further displaying their versatility and mature songwriting chops!
Tybee City Limits: American Hologram, Payne Bridges
June 10, 8 p.m. at Tybee Post Theater
Tybee City Limits is a monthly showcase for Savannah-area musicians! June’s lineup includes Savannah’s American Hologram, featuring Indie Americana Folk songs and voices. They’ll be joined by Ryan Kelly on bass and Tybee’s own Stan Ray on drums. In addition, soulful songstress Payne Bridges rounds out the program.
Summertime Movies In The Park: SING!

Tybee Island’s Development Authority and Main Street program presents Movies in the Park! With the help of our Tybee Island YMCA, Memorial Park is the place to be for summertime movies and fun!
Silent Cinema Concert: “The General”
June 17, 3p.m. and 8p.m. performances at Tybee Post Theater
Back by popular demand, Silent Cinema Concerts kicks off its season with a screening of Buster Keaton’s, “The General.” It’s widely acclaimed as one of the best silent film comedies ever made and it will be accompanied by a chamber ensemble of the Savannah Philharmonic and Rodney Sauer on the Steinway grand piano! This night of culture and laughs will start with two comedy shorts including, “The Cook” starring Buster Keaton and Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle. Sauer will host a talk-back program following the films as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of Buster Keaton acting in the movies!
And don’t forget the always entertaining and very social Tybee Island restaurant and club scenes. Turn on a spotlight and our local characters are always up for a really big show!
