DIG YOUR TOES IN THE SAND AT PORTHPEAN BEACH
One of our nearest beaches, Porthpean is but a 7 minute drive through the countryside from your luxury villa at Trewhiddle. This wonderfully safe, sheltered beach is blissfully sandy, but also boasts a selection of rock-pools where little ones can while away the hours with their fishing nets. For water sports enthusiasts, the waters are fantastic for windsurfing and sailing. Popular with families due to its gentle swimming waters, we suggest you pack up a picnic, your favourite sunglasses and swimsuit and enjoy a full day here with your loved ones before heading back for a well-timed BBQ on your private deck.

SPEND THE DAY EXPLORING THE EDEN PROJECT
Recognised the world over for it’s iconic biomes, the Eden Project is the perfect pairing for a luxury Cornish escape. Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse - and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products. Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange and lemon trees, of the Mediterranean Biome, and stroll in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden under the Cornish sun. TAKE A TWO WHEELED ADVENTURE TO THE BEACH
Our friendly team at the Trewhiddle reception have a selection of family bikes that can be hired by half or full day. Head on out from the entrance to our site, and pick up the Pentewan Valley Trail where you can cycle all the way to the breath-taking Pentewan beach! Cycle along beautiful flower-filled meadows, lush woodland and streams before emerging in the small village of Pentewan, directly adjacent to the wide golden sands of the beach. If you're in need of refuelling after your journey, check out the retro, beachside surf shack; Hub Box serving award winning handmade burgers and gourmet hot dogs with a view to die for!

GET LOST IN THE HELIGAN RAINFOREST
Hidden under a mass tangle of weeds and undergrowth until just 25 years ago, this now fully-restored, botanical treasure is one of the finest within Cornwall’s horticultural scene. With its very own on site jungle, rope-bridge. farm, working gardens and mouth-watering café (and an events calendar to entertain all), this nearby visitor attraction just 10 minutes across the beautiful Cornish countryside is one not to miss!

STEP BACK IN TIME AT CAERHAYS CASTLE
The breath-taking 140 acre gardens and the stunning home of the Williams family, come together to provide a truly beautiful visitor experience. Gently sloping down to a hidden sandy beach, it is truly unlike most castles and provides something for all with plenty of activities on offer. Pack up your favourite local treats, lace up your trusted walking boots and head out on an ancient adventure, just 20 minutes by car.
