WILDLANDS MUSIC FESTIVAL

If you're a fan of outdoor music festivals, mark your calendar for August 12th and 13—for the Wildlands Festival in Big Sky, Montana! This 2-day event will feature some of the biggest names in music, along with activities and attractions for all ages. Whether you're looking to relax and listen to great music, or just want to soak up the sun, the second annual Wildlands Festival will have something for everyone.

Wildlands takes place at Big Sky Events Arena, an iconic outdoor venue situated beneath the famed backdrop of Lone Mountain. According to their website, this festival is known for bringing people together who have a mutual love for wild and scenic lands, outdoor recreation, parks, trails, and overall enjoyment of the area—it's all in the name!

AWARD-WINNING ARTISTS

Four Grammy-award-winning artists will perform at this year's festival as it features a wide variety of musical genres, from country to rock to pop and everything in between. There's something for everyone:

  • Brandi Carlile is a six-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, performer, producer, and New York Times Best Selling author. She has released seven studio albums, including her most recent release, "In These Silent Days," which chronicles acceptance, faith, loss, and love.

  • Indigo Girls are a Grammy-winning, 15 million record-selling duo consisting of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers. The Indigo Girls have been making music together for over 30 years and have released 14 studio albums. They are known for their harmonies, songwriting, and activism, including environmentalism, human rights, and animal welfare.

  • Lukas Nelson is a music legend and Grammy-winning artist. He has been nominated for and won numerous awards, including the BAFTA Award for 'Best Original Score.' Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real (POTR) have been prolific in the music industry and have released countless hit songs. Nelson's unique voice and style have earned him a loyal fan base, and he continues to wow audiences with his live performances.

  • Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are proud to be the Music Hall of Fame and Museum's artist in residence! Jason Isbell is a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter known for his intimate songwriting and powerful live performances. The 400 Unit is his backing band, and together they have released four studio albums. Their most recent album, "The Nashville Sound," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart.

    • In addition to the great music, Wildlands Festival also offers a variety of food and drink options, including a full bar. And don't forget to check out the merch tent and trailer! This event also provides plenty of opportunities to explore the venue's incredible scenery and celebrate nature.

    MUSIC FOR A GOOD CAUSE

    The spirit of Wildlands Festival is all about celebrating the wide-open spaces, clean air and water, and access to endless recreation throughout Montana.

    With the help and production from marketing group Outlaw Partners, this music festival will proudly donate a portion of the proceeds to three important southwest Montana non-profits, including The Big Sky Community Organization, Gallatin River Task Force, and Gallatin Valley Land Trust. These organizations are already focused on conserving Big Sky—and the surrounding area's beautiful landscape—to ensure future generations have access to trails, rivers, and open land for recreation. Their hard work and stewardship may continue with donations from ticket sales.
