How to Find Discounted Lift Tickets

Ski aficionados and winter wonderland denizens, your time has come! We can’t welcome you to our homes this season. To get you ready to hit the slopes, here is our complete breakdown of where to find discounted lift tickets:

Park City

Updated: November 16th, 2021

Daily Lift Tickets:
Vail Resorts guarantees lower prices cannot be found anywhere other than on their websites. For the absolute best online prices, tickets must be purchased 7 days in advance. 2021/2022 lift tickets are available now.

If you do not want to purchase a season pass and plan to ski just a few days, you can buy a 3-day-pack, 4-day-pack, or even up to 14-pack for cost savings off the daily rate.

Vail Resorts offers tiered pricing that varies according to dates and conditions. On an early- or late-season day when not all lifts and/or runs are open, prices can be 30% or more lower than during the holidays or regular season; however, these must be purchased online in advance to get such big savings.

Epic Day Pass
If you plan to ski this season, Vail highly recommends the Epic Day Pass. The Epic Day pass provides savings versus lift tickets, gives you priority access to securing the days you would like to ski or ride, and provides a 20% savings off food, lessons, and more through Epic Mountain Rewards. Due to the reduced capacity this year, if you choose not to purchase an Epic Day Pass, lift tickets may be limited on high-demand days throughout the season.

Season Passes
If you plan to ski more than 8 days this winter, the Epic Pass may offer a cost savings versus individual lift tickets. Do the math and determine if having the flexibility of a season pass makes sense for your situation.

Other Discount Ticket Options:

  • Buddy Passes/Ski with a Friend: If you’ve got a buddy who has a season pass, see if he/she can set you up with a Buddy Pass or Ski with a Friend ticket. These are both discounted daily lift tickets. The discount varies according to the time of the season. A Buddy Ticket, included with the purchase of an Epic pass, is a flat discounted ticket that can be used to ski with friends or family. Ski with A Friend Tickets are discounted single-day tickets, with slight variable savings. Call the lift ticket office directly for pricing and know that your buddy must be with you to purchase a buddy or friend pass.

  • Half Day and Late Day Tickets: Keep in mind, you will not see it advertised at the ticket window or even online, but you do not have to pay for the entire day! Vail offers half-day and late-day tickets at significantly lower prices, again in tiers depending on the time of season. With half-day or late-day tickets, you won’t be getting first tracks, but often you will find that you’ll miss the lunch crowd at noon, or have the slopes to yourself near closing time when those who started early have tried out and called it quits for the day. If you go half-day or late when the snow is falling all day, you’ll still find fresh tracks and soft snow. Half-day and late-day tickets are only available for purchase at the ticket window on day of use. You can call the ticket office for the Vail Resort of your choice directly for daily pricing information Park City Mountain or call 435-658-9454x5.

  • Military Options: Active military personnel can purchase a full-day lift ticket for a deep discount on regular season dates. For Park City Mountain, Vail offers a discounted Epic Pass for military personnel.

  • Kids Discounts: Kids Ski Free Program: The 2021-2022 Epic Schoolkids Utah Pack, is a FREE program for Utah Kindergarten through 5th graders that provides five days of skiing and riding at Park City. Breckenridge

It’s the number one non-lodging question we are asked by our Natural Retreats guests during ski season: are there any deals on skiing? With the soaring costs, it’s no wonder everyone wants to know if there is a good deal to be found. If you are planning a trip to a Summit County ski resort, here are the answers for discounted lift tickets:

Daily Lift Tickets:
Breckenridge is open for the 2021/2022 ski season. The days when Vail Resorts allowed third-party vendors to sell lift tickets are long gone. They formerly could be purchased at King Soopers or a local ski shop at a discounted price. Vail Resorts no longer allows other businesses to sell on their behalf. They want you to purchase from their own individual resort websites (find links below).

Vail Resorts guarantees lower prices cannot be found anywhere other than on their websites. For the absolute best online prices, tickets must be purchased 7 days in advance. 2021/2022 lift tickets are now available for purchase. If you missed the cutoff date for a season pass and plan to ski just a few days, buy a 3-day-pack, 4-day-pack, or even up to 14-pack for cost savings off the daily rate.

For more information on daily ticket prices not found online at any of the Summit County Vail Resorts (Breckenridge or Keystone), call Vail Resorts at (970) 754-0011, 8 am to 8 pm MT, Mon – Fri or 8 am to 6 pm MT, Sat-Sun.

Buddy Passes/Ski With a Friend
If you’ve got a buddy who has a season pass, see if he/she can set you up with a Buddy Pass or ski with a friend ticket. These are both discounted daily lift tickets. The discount varies according to time of season. Call the lift ticket office directly for pricing and know that your buddy must be with you to purchase a buddy or friend pass.

Alternative, Less Costly Tickets:
Keep in mind, you will not see it advertised at the ticket window or even online, but you do not have to pay for the entire day! Half-day and late-day tickets are for sale at significantly lower prices, again in tiers depending on the time of the season. Half-day and late-day tickets are only available for purchase at the ticket window on the day of use. You can call the ticket office for the Vail Resort of your choice directly for daily pricing information. The Breckenridge lift ticket office number is (970) 496-5455 or (970) 754-0012.
