A Rocky Top Escape

A Rocky Top Escape nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park

A Rocky Top Escape is a two-bedroom, two-bath log cabin in Pigeon Forge, at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Comfortably sleeping six, this spacious cabin offers spectacular views, and a stunning wood interior to create a warm and welcoming ambiance.

There are two master suites, both featuring king-sized beds and large, Jacuzzi tubs, as well as large, stone fire places to add to the rustic elegance. The upstairs master suite also has a private bath and access to a balcony. Additional sleeping quarters can be found in the great room, where guests can use the suede sleeper sofa, and also features a stone-stacked fireplace and a television, with a DVD player.

The top level of the cabin features a game room, where guests can play a game of pool, or try their luck on the vintage arcade game. A Rocky Top Escape comes with a fully-equipped kitchen and a washer and dryer for your convenience. The large, wrap-around deck features a hot tub, a sauna, a charcoal grill, and plenty of rocking chairs to enjoy the mountain views.

As our gift to you for booking with us, we will offer free admission to select Smoky Mountain attractions.  Called the Xplorie Program, our guests will receive one free adult admission ticket, per night stay, to attractions like the Ripley’s Aquarium, WonderWorks Museum, the Smoky Mountain Opry and a host of other amazing experiences.  It’s our way of saying “thanks!”

We apologize, but A Rocky Top Escape does not accommodate pets and does not have Wi-Fi.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyed the extras We visited this cabin in October for my daughters fall break. The cabin is nice with a nice view off the front porch. Completely wooded surrounding the rest of the canin. Close neighbors all around that you can hear but blocked by the trees so its fine. We enjoyed the arcade, pool table, hot tub and sauna. The fireplace didnt work the first day we tried to turn it on, but this was fixed the same day. (although i would expect these things to be checked once it is time to start using them oct 1st -before someone has to call). Overall, great and relaxing stay!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice place It was nice. But when we got there, it was 88 degrees in the cabin and the fridge wasn't working properly. However they came out quickly to fix it. It was a very nice place, nice amenities, but doesn't have the best mountain view

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful clean home! We visited A Rocky Top Escape for our 27th wedding anniversary in January 2017. We couldn't have been more pleased with the cabin. Absolutely beautiful inside and out. My husband is already talking about coming back next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ringing in the New Year in "A Rocky Top Escape" We stayed in this cabin December 29, 2016 until January 2, 2017. The cabin is very nice. However, they do not tell you it is at the top of a hill. When you get up the hill to park, you do not have any decent place to park without being on the hill. You have to put your parking brake on every night and just hope your vehicle isn't at the bottom of the hill the next morning. We had two vehicles and it was not an ideal place for both to park. It would have been nice to have the drive all the way to the back double doors to unload and load the vehicle. Getting up and down the front steps to the front door was an issue also since there was no lighting to light up the stairway. This cabin is not for someone who has walking issues. Another issue was all three fireplaces didn't work. It was comfortable in the cabin without them so that was only a minor issue. On the description of the cabin, it states the game room is upstairs; however it is not. It is next to the kitchen, which for us was perfect. We could shoot pool and play on the vintage arcade game, which we loved, and have our food to nibble on. The cabin itself was beautiful. Getting to it was a whole different concern. It you plan to stay at the cabin your entire stay, then it is no big deal. However, we were there to have fun and explore and the drive to and from the cabin was a distance from everything we were there to enjoy. This was my second time renting from American Mountain Cabins and overall, it was a real good experience.
