I brought 2 motorcycles to ride in the mountains. The road to the cabin was an 18% grade made of broken asphalt and gravel. It was extremely dangerous bring a motorcycle up and down the road. It should probably be mentioned in the cabin description. It acually wasn't easy for my daughter in laws front wheel drive car to find traction on the road. The cabin was great though.

BAD MAINTENANCE.

THE CABIN WAS NOT IN A GOOD GENERAL CONDITION. AT THE MASTER BATH ONE MIRROR OF TOILETTE HAS MISSING. THE CLEANING WAS POOR. WE THINK IT WAS EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE AGAINST THE SERVICES PROVIDED.

Cozy but dated

We stayed here my family of 9 and the road was really rough but we got there. Nice location and pretty views. Just a little disappointed for what we paid per night. We couldn't get heat to turn on or the gas fireplace in living room, someone did come to fix it right away. There were dirty socks behind the movie chairs, dirty rags left in laundry area. There was no puck to play air hockey. Gas grill on porch had no gas. Couch in living room is broken. Although the beds were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed location to tour the area. It was a nice cabin and was comfortable for our family of 9 but not worth the price. The owners were helpful just not worth the price.

Good Stay in Pigeon Forge Tennessee

We visited this home in December. Our first stay in Tennessee and we were very delighted with the area and friendly people of Tennessee. We’re from Florida so many of the roads to us in Tennessee including the one up to the chalet were very steep and rough. Thus the home had many amenities, there were a few cons within the home. WiFi connection and cell phone reception was poor, the outdoor deck can use some up keep along with outdoor furniture. The water pressure if more than one shower is being used, it lowers significantly. The pros for us was the area where the home is located and the movie theater set up, game room, the view from the balconies were very nice.

Wonderful vacation!

6 adults and 5 kiddies. This house was perfect for us. Although the kitchen area is a bit small we only cooked a few meals so it wasn't usually too crowded at once. Loved the location. It was close enough to attractions but back in the woods for the view and privacy. We did several water holes, a beach on a lake, rented boats for tubing on Douglas Lake, dinner show, alpine slides, zip lining. Us living close to the beaches of New Jersey made this experience a total change from what we are use to. The only reason I gave a 4 out of five was first the road going up to the house needs repairs terribly. Second when we arrived there was heavy dust on overhead fans. Third updating needed on outside furniture. I would still recommend this cabin. We had a great time.

Needed updated

The pictures I viewed when booking were not at all the way it was when we checked in. It was not worth the price I paid. A lot of things are falling apart, not the cleanest and it was to cold to play games in the game room. It would be a really nice cabin with a little TLC.

Great features, great price!

Visited with a bunch of longtime college friends. We loved our cabin and it was a great deal. We were offered an extra night at 50% off because there was a single open night between rentals. We were very glad we took it because we never wanted to leave that place.

Great week away from home

A wonderful home for a week for two families. There was plenty of space throughout the lodge that the adults & children could relax & be occupied. Kids loved splashing in the hot tub on the deck and playing the games found in the upstairs loft & in the garage. The adults enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the late evenings and early mornings. Theater room was great to view a movie as family. Everyone could see and was comfortable in their own cozy chair. There was plenty of space in the living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms to satifiy both families. Lodge provided seclusion from the bustling town of Pigeon Forge and overlooked the Smoky Mountains. Once down the steep, pot-hole filled road, it was a quick drive to Pigeon Forge (3 min), Gatlinburg (10 min), & Great Smoky Mtns National Park (7 min). Plenty to do in the nearby areas and space within the lodge providing activities and relaxation for all families.

Nice Cabin - Terrible Roads

I would have given this cabin a 5 star if not for the steep, need for repair driveway. I would visit this cabin only in an SUV or Truck. Very convenient to all attractions. Great game room and media room.

Great features, beautiful views!

We visited this cabin for a girls weekend in March. We had a great time, the games, sauna and hot tub added to the fun. The views were fantastic! My only complaint was the road getting up to the cabin. It was super steep (expected for a mountainside cabin) but it had disintegrating asphalt and very large potholes. Had we not been in an SUV or had the conditions been wet or icy, it may have been impossible to access.

More than happy with our stay!

We visited Birchwood Lodge in August 5-11, 2016. Everyone enjoyed our stay. My grandchildren loved "the cabin". More than enough space for everyone, plenty of entertaining things for the kids. The area is very quiet and peaceful yet only a few miles from area attractions.

Amazing place to stay!

We spent 3 nights in Birchwood Lodge. (July 21-24). We were so impressed - everything we needed was there. Extremely clean - my grandkids wanted to move in & were sad to leave. What stood out when I was looking for a place to stay was all the games there. Multi-video game machine, fooseball, pool table, shuffleboard & air hockey! The theatre room was amazing - the recliners, huge couch was so much fun. Needless to say, the kids were in heaven! There's something for everyone. Very private & the views were great from the wrap-around deck. You will not be disappointed!
