The best fishing of the year occurs between April 1 and Memorial Day as the fish come out of the winter dormancy and feed up prior to spawning. The largest fish of the year are caught during this time, and for the visiting angler this is the most rewarding fishing of the year. During this time of year the fish will feed heavily and aggressively. Fall―from Sept. 15 through to Thanksgiving―offers good fishing for bass. The bass are more aggressive as they feed up for the winter. During this time of year fish can be caught on crankbaits, plastic worms and jigs.
For the guided lake fishing trips, pricing is by the boat. No more than 2 anglers per boat. Half days trips are priced at $375 and full day trips for $450. Please note that these rates do not include a North Carolina Fishing License. Guest can purchase their fishing license in advance at NC Wildlife Resource Commission.
