FOR AN UNPRECEDENTED FISHING EXPERIENCE

Natural Retreats is extremely proud to add El Pescador Resort to our list of fully endorsed destination lodges. Located on Amergris Caye near San Pedro, Belize, El Pescador is perfectly positioned in close proximity to some of the most fantastic fly fishing, snorkeling, and diving Central America has to offer. The lodge has been owned and operated by the same family since 1997, and during that time, it has developed a reputation as one of Belize’s premier fishing destinations. The lodge’s professional guides specialize in flats fishing for bonefish, permit, and tarpon. They are excellent instructors, and every guest will leave having learned something regardless of their level of experience.

While fly fishing is a primary focus at El Pescador, the lodge also arranges many non-angling adventures. Snorkeling and diving trips to the second largest barrier reef in the world are not to be missed, and guests can choose from a wide range of adventurous inland tours and day trips during their stay. These diverse activities make El Pescador a great choice for family vacations and a perfect destination for groups with varied interests. This truly is an outdoor paradise to those looking for tropical adventure.

Visitors to El Pescador have a couple of lodging choices. The main lodge has 13 rooms, all of which face the sea and open onto the beach. In addition to the standard lodge rooms, El Pescador manages a number of privately-owned two story villas. These villas include an open-style kitchen, great room, a second-story covered veranda, and a ground level patio. Each villa contains three bedroom-bathroom suites in a lock out configuration, allowing visitors to choose between a 1, 2, or 3-room villa.

Travel to and from El Pescador is easy. There are daily direct flights to Belize City from both Houston and Atlanta. From the international airport in Belize City, guests will take a short flight to San Pedro. Representatives from El Pescador will meet guests in San Pedro and transport them by boat fifteen minutes up the coast to the resort. Guests are warmly greeted at the dock by lodge staff and their luggage promptly taken to their accommodations. Throughout the duration of the trip, guests will experience the level of service they’ve come to expect from Natural Retreats.
