Eden Project

Natural Retreats Trewhiddle is located just 5 miles from The Eden Project and is the perfect base to discover this unique attraction.

Where else in the world can you trek through steamy jungles and experience the largest rainforest in captivity from 30 metres above the forest floor? Or meander through the fragrant Mediterranean and admire the splendour of the largest conservatories in the world? Only at Eden.

Set in the heart of Cornwall the Eden Project is an unforgettable day for the whole family. Over 30 acres of exciting outdoor planting are growing under the warm Cornish sun, so get out and explore! Find your hidden Eden and seek out the fun trails, shortcuts, hideaways, stepping stones and sandpits.

Visit the rainforest Biome and take in stunning waterfalls, Malaysian huts, see how chocolate grows, where sugar comes from and what a cola tree looks like. Take a trip to the top of the rainforest canopy and get an amazing bird’s eye view of the whole Biome on the Rainforest Lookout. The jungle canopy is that last high frontier usually only seen by the most intrepid of explorers and scientists.

New for 2013 is the Rainforest Aerial Walkway. It’s time to take to the trees in the largest rainforest in captivity. Go on an extraordinary adventure on our aerial walkway: enjoy spectacular views across our Biome and learn why rainforests are so important.

Travel over to the Mediterranean and you’ll enjoy a colourful, sensory journey through the warmer climes of the world. Enjoy passing lemons trees, olive groves, vines and cork trees on your way. Finally, why not have a meal at one of the restaurants where the conservations theme is carried on with the fair-trade products on the menu.

From the colourful bulbs of spring to den building and survival skills in summer, Halloweden to the winter festival with its magical ice rink, you can be sure there’ll always be something new to enthral and entertain visitors young and old!
