Nature is the best teacher
For us sustainability is all about adding to our environment not taking away from it.
It goes without saying that we don't believe in making a negative impact on our surroundings, but that's not enough in itself. We need to ensure that we bring something both to the natural sites we occupy and, just as importantly the communities we neighbor. That's the true essence of sustainability. That's why you won't find self contained communities at Natural Retreats. We don't want to cocoon our guests; we want them to feel part of the community and environment they are sharing even for a small period of time. We want the environment to have benefited from our involvement and commitment. On some of or sites we have plans to bring back old farming techniques that we can share back with the local community and guests alike.
Everything we do is about making things better for our futures.

Wherever possible we source materials and items from the local environment. Often this means helping to sustain the heritage of generations of craftsmen and artisans whose skills would otherwise die out at the hands of mass production
