South Fork Lodge can be found on the South Fork of the Snake River, a spot that has earned itself a reputation as the finest dry fly fishing area in not only the state of idaho, but the entire USA. The area is known as Swan Valley and the river is ideal for both novice and veteran anglers, with fishing taking place in drift boats during the summer months, before the water level recedes a little enabling wading during the fall.
The various types of fish that can be caught include brown, cutthroat and rainbow trout, with some measuring up to 20 inches. There's a catch and release policy and you may find that your fishing is observed by a range of wildlife including golden eagles, water fowl, elk, deer, moose and even bears!
