Comprising a championship golf course, indulgent treatment rooms, a choice of fine restaurants, entertaining bars and the option to explore the grounds by bicycle or try your hand at laser pigeon shooting, a holiday at Adare Manor will treat you to a taste of old world style as you create special new memories in an unforgettable experience.

The Manor is surrounded by an 840-acre demesne, all of which is there to be explored and used by visitors. The championship golf course is laid out on either side of the Maigue and covers 230 acres. It was the last major course designed and built by Robert Trent Jones Senior and has received plaudits internationally. Jones intended it to provide a formidable challenge at its upper range of 7,453 yards.

The course is characterised by its magnificent mature timber, its winding rock-walled streams, the signature Jones cloverleaf bunkers and subtly undulating greens.

The Maigue is one of the Ireland’s most notable trout rivers. Wild brown trout may be fished year round, and salmon from May to September. Rods, tackle and apparel are available from the ghillie, who is as happy teaching a novice as keeping an old-hand company.

There are a wide range of activities for children both on and off the resort, such as horse riding, cycling and swimming in our indoor pool and there are plenty of places within visiting distance of Adare Manor that will enhance your Irish family break.

With Limerick being a riverside city, County Limerick has no beaches, but if you need to see the sea to make your holiday experience, there are some lovely beaches in the neighbouring counties which are easily commutable. Ask our concierge team for more details.

When it comes to fine dining, Adare Manor is the place to be. Pre-dinner drinks in the drawing room or adjoining cocktail bar are a great start to the evening before sampling the very best in haute cuisine in the Oakroom Restaurant. For a more relaxed, informal atmosphere the Carriagehouse Restaurant is popular.

Whether your activity of choice is fishing, golfing, archery, clay pigeon shooting or just taking in the breathtaking scenery on offer by exploring the area on foot, bike or horseback, you can indulge your passions at Adare Manor.
