How We Choose Our Sites

Not every location is suitable for a Natural Retreats development or relationship.

To begin with, a new site or a potential partner site must meet the basic criteria of being part of, or very close to, areas of outstanding natural beauty to even be considered. Next, a location must reflect the nature of the area it is part of, reflecting the geographical and geological features of the region and its dramatic landscapes. Our aim is to capture something of the countryside we occupy from the moment you arrive

We must also be certain that any partnership or development we undertake will not harm the local environment or have a negative impact on the local community and economy. And finally every location needs to offer something truly breathtaking and different to our guests.

Wherever possible we like our locations to have some inherent historical features that we can enhance and share back with our guests and the local community alike
